Horseshoe Bay Beach, Bermuda
Horseshoe bay beach is a must visit if in Bermuda. It is as beautiful and as lovely as all the pictures you see in publications with pale pink sand and amazing rock formations. Once you have been there you totally understand why Horseshoe beach is featured in this year’s Condé Nast 20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World.
The main bay on the whole is beautiful and is very clean and
when empty is picture postcard. To the right there is a small sheltered beach which is great for kids and snorkelling; we spotted a couple of stunning parrot fish around the rocks. It is a little rocky underfoot so wear water shoes.
Climb up the big rock for stunning views and don’t forget your camera you will want to take photos.
Take a walk along the main bay to the far left, pass the rocks at the far end and you will find your own little bit of heaven; discover small wonderful secluded beaches and coves that many visitors never get to see.
Horseshoe beach does however have a downside, everybody wants to go there. If you arevisiting the island via one of the ships go early as the beach will get very busy, you risk not getting a lounger or umbrella. We arrived at midday and had to wait 30 minutes for loungers and no umbrellas were left meaning that mum got slight sunburn in the heat.
Tip: If you are staying on the island go on a day when the ships are not in (The weekends). Although we stayed on the island we went on a day when the ships were in port, which was a mistake you won’t want to make.
Have an amazing time you won’t regret visiting Horseshoe Bay and you will remember it forever. Click here to see more pictures of Bermuda
